Dr. Stabile graduated from New York Medical College and completed his residency at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital in New York City. Following residency he did and Oculoplastics fellowship at Colombia University where he is still a clinical instructor. He was the Chief of Oculoplastics for ten years at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital. Dr. Stabile is presently in a comprehensive ophthalmology group practice in Tenafly New Jersey with a sub-specialty in Oculoplastics. From 1995 to 2006, he was the Chief of Ophthalmology at Englewood Hospital and Medical Center in Englewood NJ and has been a member of the Englewood Hospital Foundation Board from 2009 to the present.
Dr. Stabile has been an actively engaged member of the New Jersey Academy of Ophthalmology since 1993, in the role of Vice President and President. He has been a Councilor to the American Academy of Ophthalmology for three years and an Alternate Councilor for three years. Additionally, he has been a member of the New Jersey Medical Society and the AMA. Dr. Stabile has been an active community member. He was a participant in five medical missions with Healing the Children, twice as a team leader. He served three years on his town's Board of Health.
In 2012, Dr. Stabile received the Arnold P Gold Foundation award based on clinical excellence and compassionate patient care. He has been regularly mentioned in New York Magazine, New Jersey Magazine and 201 Magazine as a best area Ophthalmologist.
